The Magic of Nine White Stones
There is magic. Demons live among us, and they’re up to no good. They may enter our world from a parallel dimension—but only as the guest of a human host. In exchange for life on Earth, the demon gives its host unique access to its magic, but that’s where the struggle begins, for the power the human host commands is only as strong as his or her will. These hosts are called ‘sorcerers.’
Of sorcery itself, there are three basic paths, and they all entail breaking rules: death and sacrifice, decadent passion, and ecstatic artistry (called by some, Madness).
Death: Represented by a Circle. The simplest path. Grounded in logic, perception and clarity.
Passion: Occult symbol consists of a Circle connected to a wavy, twisted line ending in an arrow. Magical ceremony marked by ritualistic sex and rampant drug use.
Madness: The most chaotic of paths. Symbol is an asterisk with a Circle at each of the vertices, and one more in the center.
Upon breaking the rules of both society and reality, one can perceive the Mother of Sorcery. She is the Heart of Sorcery, the Forbidden Lover of the King, the Queen of Witches, the Dark Lady, Mother Night. All religion, all visions, transgressions of all kinds are ultimately hers.
